"I was able to discover potential that I never thought I had. And I found it while balancing my personal life and looking after my family."
Amira Habeshy works as a project coordinator in our group project management office in Melbourne, Australia. She steers the global implementation of our Aconex document management system by day, and the responsibilities donít end there as a mother of two young daughters.
ďThis is my second home, and I know that Iím supported by a flexible employer that recognizes the importance of balancing work with personal commitments. Working here has enabled me to be present for my family and children when they needed me the most, which has meant a lot for my family.Ē
Habeshy has worked at Worley for 15 years. She joined the company as a trainee document controller soon after migrating from Egypt to Australia.
ďI came here on placement,Ē she recalls, ďand I got offered the job after I finished. I earned my masterís degree in project administration back in Egypt, majoring in oil and gas companies. Soon after, I moved into a corporate to implement our global document control system. It unlocked a lot of skills I didnít know I had, and Iíve had the chance to apply my management knowledge from university at work.Ē
While shouldering the responsibility of a transformation in document management, Habeshy is passionate about elevating her colleagues in a supportive workplace.
